Information about membership

What is our goal ?

The aim of our organization is to promote Paediatric urological science and practice.
The Society s objectives are to contribute to the training and postgraduate courses for Paediatric urologists, stimulate international co-operation, and set standards for the practice of Paediatric Urology in Europe.

What are the benefits of being a member of the espu?

Being a member gives you:

  • The privilege of a significantly reduced fee and preferred registration for all scientific, business meetings, and other gatherings organized by the ESPU or in conjunction with the Society.
  • To receive important and information regarding Paediatric Urology in Europe and worldwide.
  • A complementary subscription to the Journal of Paediatric Urology as from 2005 www.jpurol.com.
  • Continuous medical education (CME) - only Full members.
  • The right to attend the General Assembly and become active in the Society - only Full members.
  • Exclusive access to the membership corner with abstracts of the presentation before the meeting.
  • The oportunity to search address and e-mail of other members.

How do i become a member?

Membership of the ESPU may be applied for by a written application to the Secretary.
In addition to filling out the application form, if applying for Ordinary (full) membership, please supply a short CV, 2 original letters signed by 2 ESPU ordinary members in support of your application and confirming that the status for which you have applied is appropriate. Also include a list of publications of the last 5 years.

Who can apply for full Membership of the espu?

Full membership is for all Paediatric urologists working in Europe (dedicating more then 80% of their clinieal time to Paediatric Urology).

Who can apply for associate Membership of the espu?

Associate members are European urologists and Paediatric surgeons with a special interest in Paediatric Urology.

Who can apply for corresponding membership of the espu?

Corresponding membership is for other medical specialists or allied professionals with a special interest in Paediafric Urology, as well as Paediatric urologists working outside Europe.
