ESPU Opening Ceremony & Welcome reception

Location: PROVINCIAAL HOF (entrance via the Market Square)

Dining with the Flemish “ Primitive” Painters (Jan van Eyck, Rogier van der Weyden, Dirk Bouts, Hugo van der Goes, Petrus Christus, Hans Memling en Gerard David). Our menu is inspired by the taste of these 16th century painters.  Within a unique location, waiters in costume will indulge you back in time. We serve you delicious Belgian food and drinks (…you know what we mean…).  In addition, you will have the chance of playing traditional games and if you want, you can go home with an original drawing of yourself!

A list of preferred restaurants in all categories will be available at the ESPU registration area (Oud St Jan). 

These restaurants and chefs will offer special deals for ESPU attendants.

Location: STADSHALLEN (entrance via the Market Square)

“La bulle d’espoir” is the theme of the evening.  Bubbles and circles: be prepared for something special!  The caterers innovate and create, and you are in the middle of it! 
Entertainment will be above and around you… 
The chefs are cooking in their circled cuisines and just in front of your eyes. 
They will offer several dishes to taste and to choose from. 
Have you ever picked your ice cream dessert from a tree?  Just sit back, relax and enjoy this wonderful evening with friends!
